In this project, I redesigned JABIW’s website to improve functionality, modernize the aesthetic, and enhance user engagement. My goal was to make a sleek, user-friendly experience that will better support their clients and align with the company’s vision.
JABIW, an IT consulting firm, needed a website that was modern, functional, and cost-effective. From restructuring the site’s layout to migrating it to a more affordable platform, this project focused on improving navigation, simplifying content, and ensuring a professional online presence.
The firm's old website was hosted on Wordpress, but their domain and hosting plans were too expensive. They were paying for two domains—JABIW.com and JABIW.net—without needing both. Overall, they wanted a simple, professional website with four main pages: Home, About, Services, and Contact.
I started off this project by building basic wireframes using Figma to outline the site's structure and layout. I went with a top-down approach for this design, creating the desktop wireframes first.

After getting approval from the JABIW team, I jumped straight into building the website.
Initially, I began to rebuild the site in WordPress but quickly realized the domain hosting fees were too high. To find a cost-effective solution, I started to research alternatives and presented JABIW with a comparison report comprising 4-5 different hosting options, ultimately recommending Hostinger and Wix— using Wix as the website building platform and Hostinger for domain and email hosting— due to their affordable plans which added up to 50% less than what they were originally spending. During the domain transfer process, I also helped them remove the unnecessary second domain (JABIW.net) to cut additional costs.
Using Wix, I built the Home, About, Services, and Contact pages based on JABIW's requirements. After presenting the first version, I iterated the design based on their feedback and simplified the Services page by removing two sections to enhance clarity.
In addition, with some external research I realized it would be useful to add a Legal page to ensure compliance with online policies (especially regarding cookies and copyright-free assets).
Their original website, although comprehensive and well-made for the time it was created in, needed a modern twist to it to improve user engagement and functionality. The final version of this redesign was a clean, professional, and budget-friendly website that met JABIW’s needs.

I successfully migrated JABIW’s website to Wix, reducing their monthly costs by approximately 50%. Alongside this transition, I designed a modern, easy-to-navigate website that aligned with their business goals. To improve clarity and usability, I refined the content and layout of their website, ensuring a more professional and user-friendly experience.
This project taught me that understanding cost-effective solutions is just as important as design—helping JABIW optimize their expenses while still delivering a high-quality product. While I didn’t strictly follow the traditional UX process, I gained a deeper appreciation for structured workflows, including research, prototyping, and usability testing. As my first real-world project, this experience gave me hands-on practice in wireframing, iteration, and platform selection—all essential skills in UX/UI design.
